Misty Range Resorts, Marayoor

The people were kind and helpful, and our room balcony looked out onto a beautiful view with lots of birds. We enjoyed visiting the private waterfall, and when it rained they even brought us umbrellas. There were plenty of breakfast choices, including curd and a packed breakfast on request, and enough dinner options on the menu. They helped us meet Mr. Prince, a local nature guide. A few things could have been better: the bed was a bit small, some of the bed linen had holes, and the shower wasn't always warm. The room smelled strongly of bug spray when we arrived. We could only pay in cash, and the road here is very narrow, though that's outside their control. We don't recommend the night safari.

The kids' play area was very good, well maintained and kid-friendly, and the staff were kind and responsive. This is a great place to spend time with family. Mr. Prince from the resort staff was knowledgeable, friendly and a famous guide. He looked after us throughout our stay and was so dedicated he came along on a short trip even on his day off. His tips for safaris and places to visit were very helpful. We enjoyed our three-day family trip and had a wonderful vacation. The activity arrangements and hospitality were outstanding, and the service was excellent.

We had such a lovely family stay for my birthday. The forest views and private waterfalls were beautiful, and the rooms felt cozy. The staff were welcoming and helpful, especially Mr. Sathish, the store keeper, and Chef Simbu. They even arranged a little birthday cake for us. We’d happily plan another visit.
