Locals performed rituals nearby, and vendors sold local delights, all in a calm, peaceful atmosphere. Boat rides at sunrise and sunset are popular here too. I highly recommend experiencing the morning Aarti up close.

The main drawback was the lack of enough public toilets near Assi Ghat. With so many tourists and devotees visiting, accessible, well-maintained restrooms are essential, and improving them would make the visit more comfortable. The spiritual and cultural program, though, left a lasting impression. Ganga Aarti was beautifully organized and gave me a deep sense of connection with Lord Shiva and Maa Ganga. The Subah-e-Banaras performances, including Kathak and other traditional Indian dances, showed India's rich cultural heritage and felt soul-soothing. I sincerely appreciate the organizing committee's dedication. The atmosphere was peaceful, devotional, and uplifting. 4.5/5. A must-visit for spirituality, culture, and Varanasi's timeless beauty.

You can meditate, take a quiet morning walk, snack on local food, or sit by the water and take in the spiritual energy. From sunrise over the Ganga to the evening Ganga Aarti, the whole place feels magical. A great way to experience Varanasi's soul.
When the Aarti begins, Assi Ghat gets heavenly crowded, so find a comfortable spot if you want to join in. There are two Ganga Aarti ceremonies here. The rest of the time, it's among the quietest places. Some small kids may pester you to buy an Aarti kit, even touching your feet as they ask. Still, joining the prayer is a holy moment that gives your soul positive energy. Everyone should experience the ceremony once in their life.
