Baba Guest House

The terrace was a highlight for me, especially at sunrise, when the Ganga view feels peaceful and beautiful. Baba Guest House has a calm, traditional feel, with heritage-style architecture and thoughtfully designed interiors that suit Varanasi. My room was clean, comfortable, and simply but nicely furnished, with the basic amenities in place. The staff were welcoming and helpful with local guidance, temple visits, boat rides, and travel tips. It’s good value for money and a lovely choice if you want a quiet stay near the ghats.

It felt like a safe, homey place to stay in Varanasi. The location is great, about a two-minute walk from the Ganges, and there’s a lovely rooftop restaurant with good design and food that’s both hygienic and high quality. We chose a room with air conditioning and an attached toilet and shower. There are different room options, and ours had everything we needed, including hot water and a comfortable bed. The service was excellent, and the owners are lovely.

Gopal was so friendly and even helped me check train tickets. The guest house is just a minute from the ghats, and everything was very clean and comfortable. They provided soap and glasses to use, and the shower had hot water. The upstairs restaurant has fantastic food and lots of choices. Service was five-star, and I’d definitely stay here again if I come back. It was a really good experience.

I’ve been here three times and keep coming back because it’s clean, well located, and good value for a budget stay. It’s only a short walk from the Ganges, which you can see from some rooms and from the rooftop where Aadha-Aadha Cafe is. The rooms are simple and comfortable, with fresh sheets and towels. Bathrooms are the usual wet-room style, so the floor gets wet when you shower, which is normal in India. The owner is around and happy to help, while the staff look after the place and handle the daily details. They’ll also open the door if you’re heading to the temples in the middle of the night.
