Bala Ji Atithi Ashray

The location was really good, and the bed sheet, towel, and blanket were clean. Rahul came along as our guide and knew a lot about Varanasi, including its temples, ghats, and sarees. The hotel offers a free guide for temple visits and local sightseeing. Staff were hardworking and well behaved, and they can provide what you need if you call sudeep. We had a nice stay at hotel balaji.

The best thing is how close it is to dashashwamedh ghat and the temple, both within walking distance. In room 201, though, there was no table, the room was small, and the mirror was tiny. The clothes hanger was on the wall right by the washbasin. The breakfast was a joke, with no tea or coffee included, and you had to pay for either. Bring drinking water, or pay the hotel for it, and bring your own washroom kit too. When I called to ask for one, they said they don't provide kits. This was the first hotel I'd seen charge for drinking water.

It's close to Jangamwadi Math and the temples, and okay for a short stay. Still, it wasn't maintained as well as other places, and plenty of hotels are cleaner for less money. Hot water costs 20 rupees a bucket.

We arrived at Balaji atithi ashray with my wife around one in the morning. The staff and owner were kind and even got us dinner that late when we asked. It felt homely. Highly recommended.
