Cozy Inn

Cozy Inn was a comfortable, easy place to stay for our two days. Breakfast was included and served neatly at the dining table, and checkout was around 11:00 AM. The rooms were spacious and stayed clean and tidy; extra bedding was available when we asked. The bathroom and toilet were clean and maintained, with towels, toilet soap and other basic essentials.

We rented an electric bike from Cozy Inn, and it made getting around the lanes and ghats of Banaras easy and fun. It was very affordable, too. The home-cooked food was another standout, wholesome and comforting, and honestly better than the restaurants, chaat bhandar and takeaway spots trending on reels in Banaras. Mayur Ji and the cook were warm and kind, and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Their welcome made us feel more like family than guests. Cozy Inn was a highlight of our trip, with a cozy, authentic stay, genuine hospitality and food that really satisfied us.

The location worked especially well for us. Cozy Inn is near PDR Mall, so rickshaws can come right to the door, and it’s a short 15-minute walk to the main Ghats and temple. I’d recommend it over staying closer to the Dham if you have parents or lots of bags, since rickshaws aren’t allowed right around the temple. We had a wonderful one-night stay. Mr. Mayur was a fantastic host, and we loved the house’s traditional look and vintage decor, which gave it a nostalgic feel. The rooms were immaculately clean and smelled pleasant.

We had a great experience, with delicious food and wonderful hospitality. The rooms have an older heritage feel, but they were clean and well maintained. The owner was friendly and very helpful, pointing us to important places in Varanasi and putting together a detailed 3-day itinerary. He also arranged a boat ride and cab, which made our trip smooth and hassle-free.
