The rooftop kitchen and dining hall is great, and the Ganga ghat is only a 3-4 minute walk away. The place is cool and spacious, and the staff are friendly. It’s a good, inexpensive option if you’re staying for a fortnight.

It’s close to Nishadraj ghat, but tucked away enough that finding it can be confusing. You have to walk through lots of lanes and streets to reach the exact spot. The rooms are okay, with attached bathrooms and comfortable beds, but no TV or cooler. Some beds aren’t couple friendly. Drinking water is a problem. The price is reasonable, but there’s no AC or proper ventilation. Staff seem a bit lazy, so you may have to manage things yourself. The rooftop restaurant is expensive and the food quality isn’t great. The hotel also doesn’t seem smoke friendly. Neither the entrance nor the galleries are disability friendly. It seems hard to stay longer than a day: rooms are small, with no chair, table, or entertainment system. WiFi is available, but slow.

We stayed two days during our visit to varanasi. The guest house was nice and affordable, and the staff were helpful. They even upgraded our room. I liked the rooftop and am posting a picture of it. Harishchandra Ghat is within walking distance, and there’s a good nearby market.

Good-sized rooms and a nice rooftop restaurant at wallet-friendly prices. There aren’t many rooms, but it’s usually easy to get one vacant. Free WiFi is available, and you can order food. The place is near a ghat, so you can go there at sunrise to see the rising sun.
