The staff were the real highlight. They arranged tours that became some of the best parts of our trip and helped when we needed it. When I had to call an Indian airline, they lent me a phone right away. They also set up a taxi at 4 AM, with one drop at the train station and another at the airport. The price was fair, and everything was reliable. Trustworthy and genuinely helpful, the staff alone make this place worth booking. We stayed four days and would recommend it to anyone visiting Varanasi. The location is nicely balanced, in a relatively quiet part of the city but only a short walk from the ghats and excellent restaurants. Our private room was clean and functional, and the hot water, AC, and fan all worked. It was a little small and plain, with just white walls, but there’s no reason to stay in the room when the city is there to explore.

The staff at Hostel La Vie were welcoming and the service was good, which made my four days there especially pleasant. It’s a simple, decent place, suited to a comfortable stay without anything fancy. I feel lucky I chose it, and would recommend it for a peaceful stay in Varanasi that’s easy on the budget.

Being there during Shivratri made the atmosphere around the hostel a real highlight. Manager Vikram was especially great, and the staff were warm and helpful throughout. The location was convenient, with everything close by, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The whole place felt airy, and the stay was pleasant from beginning to end.

The support staff were polite and helpful during our two nights at Hostel LaVaie. Food was average, though the aloo parathas were good. Checkout times are enforced strictly, with no late checkout even if rooms are available, which can be inconvenient for women travelers. If something comes up, contacting management or the owner directly is better.
