Hotel Banaras Haveli

The owners try to help with everything, and the rates are reasonable. We had two rooms, one upstairs with a balcony and one downstairs by reception. The upstairs room was clean and the bedding spotless. The downstairs one wasn't as clean, had no phone reception, and couldn't get a Wi-Fi signal. The laundry service is the big drawback: 900 rupees for a laundry bag is a lot. I wish we'd asked the price first. It's an acceptable hotel, but I'd avoid the extra services.

The location is the best part, with Assi Ghat just a 3-4 minute walk away. It's a warm, cozy place that feels like a home away from home. This was my second stay, and it was just as pleasant as the first. The rooms are very clean, and access to the kitchen and terrace is a big plus for relaxing or hanging out with friends.

Being so close to Assi Ghat was the best part, just about a three-minute walk. The room was clean, but the window was basically useless, and the price felt far too high for what it was. I paid 2k for one night in a double-bed deluxe room that seemed worth 1k at most. The hotel is a little set back from the main road, and the stairs to the upper floors are quite steep, so they may be difficult for elderly guests or anyone with leg problems.

The wall paintings are lovely, and the rooms have a really blissful feel. Banaras Guest house is a premium place to stay near Assi Ghat in banaras. Naveen bhaiya deserves special thanks for helping us plan our Banaras itinerary. Do visit once.
