The local food at the restaurant was authentic, and the staff were incredibly helpful arranging morning aarti visits. We had a wonderful stay at hotel City grand. Being about 3 km from Kashi Vishwanath Temple was a blessing: it was peaceful away from the crowds and noise, but only a quick 10-15 minute e-rickshaw ride to the main gate. A good fit if you want to experience the spirituality of Banaras without staying amid the chaos.

It was very noisy, and we couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. There was no hot water in the morning, and the food was very average. The rooms are compact and not comfortable for a family with luggage, so the stay wasn't comfortable overall.

The location is right beside the roadways bus stop, and the staff were generally cordial. The rooms are very small, and the AC/heater didn't work at all. Hot water was said to be available only from 6 am-10am, though after check in the staff brought a bucket of hot water when I asked. Water also flowed from the bathroom into the room, and the food was quite average.

The rooms are good and budget friendly, and the staff are friendly and treat guests well. We found the food clean and good, and the service was good too. The location is convenient, near the bus stand and within walking distance of the station.

There isn't a geyser, so hot water isn't available, which was the one problem. Otherwise, the location near Varanasi Bus stand is good, the service and food are good, and the hotel counter is helpful. Overall, value for money.
