Hotel Cresent Near Assi Ghat

The location was good, but the rest of our family stay at Hotel Cresent Palace, Varanasi was disappointing. I booked through Goibibo, yet staff didn’t know about the booking when we arrived, delaying check-in. The room smelled stale, perhaps because it had been locked for a long time. The room and food seemed overpriced for what we got, and the in-house restaurant felt like an old samosa canteen. The food was average and not worth the prices. There was also a serious safety issue: ice cream came with broken glass pieces in it. I’ve never seen a ceiling fan in a hotel washroom before, which was an odd facility choice. Management, cleanliness, food quality and safety all need significant improvement before I could recommend the hotel.

The rooms were really spacious, and my elderly parents and in-laws were happy with the place. All the staff were helpful, and the food was fresh and tasted great. We had a very good stay at cresent villa, and I highly recommend it.

I was very satisfied with the service. Requests were handled quickly, housekeeping was efficient, and customer service stayed attentive throughout my visit. I’d recommend the hotel.

The hotel itself was nice, with great rooms and a good experience for our family group of 12. It’s near the main market and about five minutes from the major ghats. The package they sold us felt like a tourist trap, though: 1000/- per person, 12000/- total for just 1.5day, for two cars that were pretty useless because cars can’t go into most areas. The drivers asked us to meet them at parking spots 3-4kms from where they dropped us. Autos and e-rickshaws were much easier and cheaper.
