Hotel Dolphin International

I stayed in room 2009. It was nice and clean, and the restaurant service and buffet food were good too. When we arrived, Mr. Satya and his team welcomed us at reception and gave us a Rudrakha Mala. The staff were all very pleasant and good-natured. Housekeeping is the one area that needs improvement. They also provide pickup and drop-off from the airport and railway station. Thank you, Hotel Dolphin International, for welcoming us and providing such nice service in the heart of Varanasi 🙏

We stayed in a duplex double and a triple room, and both were good. The staff responded promptly, and breakfast was tasty with food quality as expected. The hotel is on Bhelupur road, around a 15-20 minute walk from Kashi Vishwanath Temple. It was convenient to reach by car or cab and still close to the main attractions. The in-house restaurant was handy for dinner. A good fit for a family stay, though some rooms could use maintenance.

For the price, this basic three-star hotel is fine, and there are plenty of good places to eat nearby. I’d skip the breakfast: the selection and quality were poor, the coffee was dreadful, and only vegetarian options were available. You also have to pay 60 rupees for bottled water at breakfast, although tap water is free. The room was clean, the shower was excellent, and outside noise was minimal. WiFi was unreliable. Service could be better too, as they didn’t replace the loo roll when cleaning the room, though perhaps that was just an oversight. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the Ganges.

The restaurant was comfortable and clean, and the staff were polite and helpful. Service was quick, and the portions were good. I enjoyed the fresh, tasty food, especially the South Indian dishes, which were nicely prepared and full of flavor. A relaxed place to have a satisfying meal in Varanasi. 👍
