Hotel Rio Benaras

Breakfast was a real highlight, with a superb spread and good dosa options. We had a pleasant two-day stay with family: the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the place had a nice feel to it. The staff were polite and helpful. Check-in and checkout both went smoothly, so the stay was hassle-free. Thank you, Rio Banaras and team. I’d consider coming back.

The food was good, though finding a dead ant in the sambhar was disappointing. The rooms were clean, and the service at Rio was the best part for me. Everyone on staff was friendly and supportive, and the receptionist was especially helpful and generous. I’d recommend staying at Rio Hotel.

At ₹7,000 a night, this suite was nowhere near worth the price. The rooms were tiny, poorly kept, and smelled bad throughout our stay. There were bed bugs too, and they left us with rashes and discomfort. The service and hospitality were poor. We were charged for water bottles, and even basic toiletries like toothpaste and a shower cap weren't provided. At breakfast, even aloo paratha wasn't available. The restaurant staff were arrogant and unprofessional. This was one of the worst hotel stays I've had.

The checkout morning was awful. Almost an hour before our booked checkout time, staff kept calling and told us to leave at once. When we said we still had time, they rudely replied, “You can’t stay even one more minute.” It felt like they just wanted to get rid of us. There was no warmth or courtesy, and staff were impatient, rude, and constantly rushing us. The whole atmosphere felt negative, and their attitude ruined what should have been an ordinary stay. For what they charge, there are much better nearby hotels where guests are treated with respect. Avoid this place if you want a peaceful stay.
