Hotel The Westinn

The food felt close to home cooking and was exceptionally tasty, and the whole team made us feel welcome. The staff were polite and attentive, with the owners personally checking on guests. The Westinn hotel showed a warmth and hospitality that felt true to holy Kashi.

We booked a buffet dinner, but were told at dinner that it wasn't available. We could only pick from a few dishes, choosing either chicken or paneer, not both. That was awkward for our family, with one vegetarian and one non-vegetarian person. Be careful about booking the buffet option.

We had a really nice stay. The food was tasty and light, and our room was clean and well looked after. Staff were kind and helpful, and the service was good too.

We had to pay extra at checkout because we were rushing to catch a flight in foggy weather and didn't want further delays. I reluctantly paid, but the whole experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Room service was unsatisfactory, too. I wouldn't recommend the hotel given the poor service and lack of transparency around the charges. At booking, the slip stated ₹5,000 + 5% GST per day for two adults and our children, aged 8 and 4, with breakfast included. We didn't need or use an extra bed, which I'd been told would cost ₹1,000 + GST if required. But at checkout we were charged for one anyway, and weren't given a proper bill. When I asked for a breakdown, the receptionist said the room was ₹6,000 + GST per day, a rate we'd never been told about. After I objected, the receptionist discussed it by phone and then added ₹350 per day for breakfast for our 8-year-old, also never disclosed at booking. I wasn't given a printed bill at checkout. They said they'd send it on WhatsApp, but three days later I still hadn't received it there or by email.
