Hotel Vaibhav

We found the staff extremely rude and unwelcoming. Someone took our charger from the room, and when we reported it, staff refused to return it or accept responsibility. The room was in very poor condition too, with unchanged bedsheets and no hot water. There was no heater or other basic amenities.

Our fourth-floor room was in an area that looked like it was halfway through renovation. There was no Wi-Fi, and we had no hot water until we called down to reception to get it fixed. The porter carrying our bags insisted on a tip, even though our tour guide had already arranged this. The basement bar was nice, but a blackout surprised all of us and made our evening drinks a bit exciting. Thank Shiva for the phone flashlights. Unfortunately, the hotel wasn’t very nice for us.

The staff were helpful, though not especially friendly. The restaurant had both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options; the food was okay but overpriced, and beer was available at a high price too. We’ve stayed at many 3-star hotels in India, and this was the worst. Our room was shabby and unclean, drains were blocked so the floor flooded, and there was no hot water. An unavoidable motor inside the hotel made sleeping impossible, and there was no Wi-Fi upstairs. You can do much better for this price and location. We don’t recommend it.

The management wouldn’t refund our money or move us to better accommodations. Instead, they argued with us, which felt completely unprofessional. We’d booked two rooms, and they were filthy, unattractive, full of mosquitoes, and seemed neglected for years. The hotel looks appealing outside, but the interiors are dreadful. The rooms are badly maintained, service is abysmal, and the front desk behavior was appalling. This was the worst hotel experience of my life, and I strongly urge people to avoid it.
