OYO 943 The Hotel Swastik Inn

The photos were completely misleading, and the hotel was extremely dirty. There was no hot water and bugs everywhere. They even gave us a used towel they'd picked up from the floor near the footwear. Total disappointment.

The location looked appealing, but I regret choosing this hotel. The rooms and service were poor: our room and blankets weren't clean, and there were bedbugs and cockroaches. Power cuts happened at night, and when we needed help, calls went unanswered. The management was very poor too.

I'd stayed here five times before, and the service had been fine. This visit was different: the new receptionist made fun of us after giving us no information about the room or the checkout time. Staff spoke rudely, and I stayed two days in a room that hadn't been cleaned, with a broken bathroom sink. I had a very bad experience.

The owners and manager were nice, and I was satisfied enough to consider staying again if the service improves. I spent nearly 12 days there last month. The room was cleaner than average but not spotless, with dust on the curtains, doors, and elsewhere. Housekeeping was adequate, though more professionalism would help. Tea cost Rs.35 a cup, but only two of the six cups I ordered were good; I poured away the other four. For help between 6 and 7 am, reception didn't answer, so I had to try the stairs to find someone, and there might not be anyone there.
