Palace on Ganges

The rooftop restaurant was a lovely extra, and the food was good. I found the staff humble, warm, and helpful, the service was great, and the rooms were clean. From the rooms and balconies you can see Ganga (river) ji, while Assi Ghat is only a short walk away. I enjoyed the morning Mangal aarti, live classical music, and the late night atmosphere around the ghat. The location made it easy to feel the culture of ancient Banaras. Dashaswamedh Ghat and Sree Kashi Vishwanath Temple are a little farther, but good transport options like autos, cars, and totos get you there in about 20 minutes. I had a pleasant, memorable three-night stay.

The food had a delicious range, and the service was better than I expected. Everything felt relaxing and carefully looked after, from the comfortable, spotless room to the welcoming check-in. The staff were consistently polite and ready to help. I had an amazing stay and would happily return. Definitely recommend it if you want comfort and good hospitality. 🌟

We were there during Holi, and the whole city was so colorful. Being so close to Assi Ghat was a big part of the experience: the riverbank is within 100m, and the ghat is about a five-minute walk at any time. The hotel has a great atmosphere and friendly, hospitable staff. Since we had our one-year-old with us, they helped prepare separate food for the child. There were plenty of cuisines, especially vegetarian options, and the spacious rooms had modern amenities. We also saw lots of foreign guests. Right next door are Jagannath Temple, which is a must visit, and Dada ki chai. The rooftop restaurant is nice, and they let you bring in outside food too. You can watch sandhya aarti from quite close without paying anything. Next time I visit Varanasi, I’ll book a top-floor room for the view.

As a solo traveler, I felt safe and comfortable here. The staff were especially kind and humble, and they pointed me toward lovely ghats and temples, which made my time in Banaras more meaningful. My room was clean and comfortable, with a peaceful view of the river. Assi Ghat and the sacred Ganga are about a five-minute walk away, so I could enjoy quiet riverside mornings and the evening aartis. A caring, comfortable place to experience the spirit of Varanasi.
