Pearl Courtyard Dormitory

Chef Triloki made breakfast a memorable part of our morning. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the care in the preparation and presentation really showed. The chef was friendly, easy to talk to, and clearly wanted guests to enjoy their meal. We enjoyed every bite and would gladly come back for another meal. Highly recommended.

Getting around was easy, with plenty of electric auto-rickshaws available just outside Hotel Pearl Courtyard. Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Dashashwamedh Ghat are about five minutes away by auto. We were a family of six, stayed one night, and booked two Superior Rooms. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had the basic amenities we needed; check-in and checkout were smooth. The pure vegetarian restaurant served very good food, though it was a little expensive. A few things to know: large vehicles such as an Innova can't reach the hotel because of road barricades, so ours stopped nearby and we walked about a minute. Renovation work in part of the hotel led to some daytime noise complaints from guests. The view outside the hotel and rooms isn't very appealing. Still, it was a comfortable stay and a decent choice near Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

The beds were clean and comfortable, and the staff were courteous and helpful. I remember the doorman and Maivish at the restaurant, along with the young man who cleaned the bathroom after we reported its odor. The bathroom had a lingering urine smell that cleaning and air freshener couldn't cover. The room was clean otherwise, though a bit shabby and run down, and the location was excellent for Kashi Vishwanath mandir and the Ghats. There was a lot of noise from the construction work to expand the hotel. Our room was beside the stairs, so staff and guests passing through made it noisy late at night. It was a pleasant stay overall, but I'd give the room 3 stars.

The food was excellent, and the hotel's location made temple visits, shopping, aartis and the ghaats convenient. We were especially grateful to the front desk ladies for being warm and professional. Govindji was very helpful, Salman from housekeeping did a fantastic job, and the gatekeeper and doorman were always cheerful and ready to help. One of our best hotel experiences in Varanasi. Highly recommended.
