Sona and her family made this a great home base for my friend and me. It’s only a short walk to Assi Ghat, so getting to the morning ceremony and yoga was easy. Great cafes for meals or late night hangouts are just around the corner, and the home is away from the chaos of the more touristy main ghat. Our room had everything we needed: a really comfortable bed, a fast ceiling fan, air conditioning, a fridge, and a great shower. Sona is kind, helpful, and down to earth, and being welcomed into her wonderful family was lovely. We also took a cooking class with her and bought some of her spice mixes. I can’t wait to return. Thanks, Sona! 🙂

Sona was attentive, caring, and always available when I had an issue. She’s a real mum to her guests as well as to her own kids, and she told me a lot about Varanasi. She’s also a great cook. My room was very clean and a decent size. I highly recommend staying here.

Sana and her family made us feel at home right away. The house was a peaceful nest away from the chaos of Varanasi, and the whole family was lovely. She welcomed us with chai, and even gave us a free dinner for her husband’s birthday, such a thoughtful gesture. The food was delicious. Sana offers cooking classes, but our budget was too tight to join, even though we would have loved to. She also gave us a map and lots of helpful information about Varanasi, and arranged a sunset boat tour on the Ganges for us. It was a highlight of our stay. We highly recommend her homestay.

The washroom and stairs were a little small, though that seems normal in Varanasi’s traditional galis and homes. Even so, the hospitality was excellent. Sana ma’am was welcoming, always smiling, and guided us throughout our stay. Sona’s open nature made us feel at home immediately. The location is excellent, just a minute’s walk from the Ganga Asi ghat, and there’s a cozy rooftop terrace to unwind on. She knows how to look after guests, almost like a tourism professional. Wishing them all the best with their business. I’ll try the homemade food next time!

The rooftop has a lovely view, and the guesthouse itself is cozy and exceptionally clean. The hosts are wonderful people. I highly recommend staying here. I’d definitely choose it again if I return to Varanasi.
