Saraogi Homestays

Mr. Arun Saraogi was already helping us plan our visit before our group of 14 arrived. The rooms and washrooms were clean and hygienic, and everyone, mostly ladies, felt safe and comfortable. The stay is about 500 metres from the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. He arranged a guide, and Munna Bhaiya stayed with us through the trip, helping us find our way through Kashi’s streets, locate good food, and arrange boating. Shubham Bhaiya also guided us to the temple and stayed until we entered in case we needed help. It made for a very memorable, pleasant stay.

On my solo trip to Varanasi, I wanted to do the Ashta Bhairav Yatra but only knew in theory where the Bhairav temples were and had no idea how to plan it. Sarogi uncle helped organize the whole thing, from Pooja items to transportation, and I completed the Yatra quickly within 5 hours. He was extremely hospitable and took care of all my needs, including temple visits. Sarogi Homestays is very close to Kashi Vishwanath temple and within walking distance. I’d highly recommend staying here in Kashi.

Being with our 4-year-old was easy here, and she loved the stay too. When our train brought us in very early in the morning, Mr. Saraogi kindly guided us and let us check in early since a room was available. It made a long journey much easier. Mr. and Mrs. Saraogi are warm, kind, and knowledgeable hosts. Their insights into the city and its traditions added a lot to our visit. Saraogi Homestays puts you right in the heart of old Varanasi, within walking distance of Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Kal Bhairav Temple, Manikarnika Ghat, other ghats, and great local food spots. We loved the timeless Kashi feel. It’s a clean, comfortable place with an authentic old-city experience, and we’d gladly return.

Saraogi uncle made us feel at home, and his warmth brought out the love of Banaras. It’s just a 5 mins walk to gate no 4, the entrance to Kashi Vishwanath temple. The best host and place I’ve come across in Banaras. Real Banarasi people at heart.
