Teerth Guest House

The location is handy for the markets, with Thatheri bazaar and other major markets about 900-1000m away. Kashi vishwanath temple gate no. 2 is 100m from the guest house, though it's 400-450m from the road where the rickshaw folks leave you. The rooms are small but manageable for a budget stay. The beds and blankets were fine, as was the washroom, which had hot and cold water. Staff behaviour was okay. We stayed three days and nobody came to clean the room or clear the bins. There was also a price mismatch of about 400 between online and offline: online it was around Rs 700, but we had to pay around 1100 for 3 sharing and 1000 for double sharing. Recommendation: 3/5. We took this place in a hurry, but I'd look for somewhere better.

I stayed in the guest house for 3days with my family, and the hospitality was top notch. The staff were especially polite and helpful. It's very close to viswanath temple and annapurna vojanalaya, so I'd always recommend staying there.

We booked 4 rooms for 8 family members through Agoda for 3 nights, 17th to 20th March, and paid in full in advance. When I called reception the day before, they flatly said there was no booking. Reservation manager Anil Kumar then assured me it was confirmed. But when we all arrived on the 17th, staff denied us entry, again said there was no booking, refused to help, and stopped answering our calls. We were left stranded on the streets of Varanasi, and I had to scramble to arrange and pay for another hotel at the last minute. Huge thanks to HR Guest House for taking us in and getting us out of that nightmare. This was deeply unethical. It felt like they took our money, gave us a fake confirmation, and abandoned us on arrival. I strongly advise families to avoid Goroomgo Teerth Guest House and don't trust Agoda to protect you if you book here.

This teerth guest house is very neat and affordable, with good amenities. It's deep inside kashi, almost next to the temple, and they answered all our questions and queries very politely. There are only two ways to get there, on foot or by bike.
