Arabian Soul

I loved volunteering here as a yoga teacher. I can't imagine a better place in Varkala for it, and I'm already hoping to return. Thank you for letting me be part of this special place. The peaceful garden adds to the welcoming feel of the house. Naveen is such a kind person and does his best to make everyone feel at home, and the people he brings together seem much the same. The rooms are bright and clean. I also loved hanging out or doing yoga on the rooftop with that amazing ocean view. Arabian Soul really does have a soul of its own.

The host was caring and really friendly, and the rooms were clean and affordable, including the ones with AC. You can see the beach from there. There are also lots of bars and restaurants nearby, with a nice atmosphere, good food, and reasonable prices. The owner said they planned to rent surfboards for the 2016 season, and the beach seems great for surfing.

Arabian Soul ended up being the best experience I've had in India so far. We'd already checked into another hostel with a terrible vibe when, by chance, we came across this place. Naveen showed us around his homestay, and we decided to move the next day. We stayed four nights, much longer than we'd planned to spend in Varkala. Naveen made us feel like we were at a friend's home. He took us and some other guests to a movie one night in his own car, and another morning brought us to a local breakfast spot. I remember several long chats with him about all sorts of interesting things while we sat around in the midday heat. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with views of the beach and the area around it. There's a little shared space on the third floor where guests can get to know each other, and it has a view too. Yoga classes are held on the roof. The garden is lovely, and the outdoor showers were handy after a trip to the beach. Thanks, Naveen, for such great hospitality.

We loved the quiet garden setting, even though you're right by the Cliff and beach and very close to good restaurants. The owner, Naveen, was friendly and helpful. The upper rooms have sea views, and the rooftop is lovely for yoga in the morning or evening. Thank you!
