Ocean Cliff View

The room didn't feel like great value for the money, though in a place like this you're hardly indoors. We loved the stay overall. The outside area was spacious and beautiful, the staff were very courteous, and the restaurant food was wonderful, better than most places we tried at varkala cliff. They also let us check out late without any fuss. The hotel sits on a cliff by the southernmost beach, aaliyarakkam beach, which can feel almost private if varnala beach is too busy. It's 3 km from varkala cliff, or 1.5 km walking along the connected beaches. We took an auto, which cost 100INR.

A five-minute walk takes you to a lovely unspoiled beach near the resort. For dining, there are good food options here, though you could also try local restaurants. The more touristy Varkala Beach, with plenty of cliff-top restaurants and bars, is about a 20-minute walk or a 5-10 minute car ride away. Blooming Bay - Clifftop Beach Resort, Varkala sits on a 150 feet cliff with a 180 degree view of the Arabian Sea. The grounds have lawns, gardens and a coconut grove. There are 12 double bedrooms and 3 cottages, and all the rooms face the sea with a view of Aliyirakkam Beach.

Sea views from the rooms and grounds are lovely, and it's a great spot to enjoy the climate and the water. The hotel is on a cliff, with well-kept grounds and picturesque lawns. Staff were helpful and courteous. They make tasty food at the hotel, but it's made to order and only available at certain times. The beach is within walking distance.

If you need somewhere quiet to clear your head and get away from city life, this cliff-top resort in varkala is a good fit. It's right on the cliff with a view over the ocean, and the staff are always courteous and ready to help. A quaint, lovely place. Try the yoga sessions and ayurveda Spa packages while you're there. I'd say it's worth visiting at least once.
