The location made getting around easy and stress-free, with everything we needed nearby, while the property itself stayed quiet and restful. The Marine Palace was especially good for our family, with a comfortable, welcoming environment for all ages and space to make special memories together. The place was peaceful, beautiful, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed. From arrival, the staff were kind, attentive, and genuinely caring, making us feel at home. Our stay was easy and relaxed, and we felt well looked after. We're grateful to the whole team and would happily return and recommend The Marine Palace.

The setting right on the beach was excellent, with lovely cliff and sunset views. The drinks were just okay. The strawberry daiquiri came without crushed ice and was served like a martini, while gin wasn't available on its own, only with tonic. Service was friendly, though the staff seemed unmotivated. Everything took ages, and we had to keep catching their attention to order another round.

We loved our stay. The place is right on the beach, and the main shopping strip is only a 5-10 minute walk away. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and it was nice to see them each day. Our rooms were clean and spacious, with great fans. The food and drinks were good too. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely be back!

The rooms were let down by insects and poor soundproofing. Still, it’s a quiet, traditional place with an offbeat feel, very close to the beach between North and South Cliff. The dining area and restaurant are open to the sea.

The staff made this stay special. They were warm and kind, and looked after us without hovering. The food was excellent, made with fresh ingredients and obvious care. After the Art Biennale in Cochin, I came to Varkala to unwind, and Varkala Marine Palace suited that perfectly. The calm atmosphere and care in the little details helped me settle into a slower pace. I’d definitely return.
