Contour Island Resort and Spa

We had a pleasant stay, with lovely scenery from the room balcony that made it especially relaxing. The resort was calm and peaceful, and the service was well organized. There are great sightseeing spots nearby, and the resort arranged things smoothly for us.

The evening bonfire was enjoyable, and the staff were polite and helpful throughout. The resort sits deep in a dense forest, around 3 km off-road from the main route. Driving through the dark jungle was an adventure, and the views of Banasura Lake framed by large mountains were beautiful. We booked a basic room because the lake-view option wasn’t available. It was spacious and clean, with two balconies, but no great views. The washroom was well maintained, though I did notice the lack of air conditioning. The complimentary nature walk was disappointing. It was listed with our booking, but when we asked at 7:15 in the morning, management said it had been scheduled for 6:30 and was canceled because nobody showed up. Guests hadn’t been told, which felt misleading. The food also needs serious improvement: the quality and taste were poor for a three-star property, and the complimentary breakfast had very little variety. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place with a great atmosphere, but communication and food quality let it down.

We came as a big group for three nights and had a lovely time in such a beautiful location. The rooms and facilities were perfect. Aswathi at the front desk answered all our questions, Maya and Jithin helped us relax during our massage sessions, and Basel handled our many food orders so well. Thanks for the excellent service.

I’ve stayed here three times over the last three years, with both friends and family, and each visit has been great. The view is the best, and the spacious rooms and central area make it easy to hang out. Food choices are limited, but what’s available is tasty.
