Mangosteen Holidays by OYO Rooms

The property is picturesque, and the staff welcomed us warmly and suggested a good itinerary for nearby places. Prices are very reasonable, and it's in a great spot, only about 600m from pookkode lake. There's no in-house restaurant, but they'll arrange food from nearby restaurants if you want. A pantry is available for tea and coffee, and the service was excellent.

A bit of a tight parking area, but it works well enough for bikes. The place is budget friendly, with lovely views in the morning and really helpful staff. It's a cosy spot about 200 metres off the main road, within walking distance of the Pookode Lake area.

I had to find another hotel at twice the price, and it nearly ruined our family holiday. It was festival season and places were apparently filling up. I'd booked this place through the OYO app, booking ID NWBK9256, and while I was travelling from Mysore to Wayanad, the hotel called to refuse check-in. They said OYO hadn't paid them for three months because I'd paid online, so they couldn't accommodate me. I had little time to find somewhere else, and OYO's customer executives were no help. They just said they'd refund me and told me to book another hotel.

The setting is beautiful, with hills on two sides that make staying here feel glorious. The rooms are kept neat and clean, and the atmosphere and weather are lovely. It feels like heaven.
