Misty Dam Resort

The location and Banasura Dam views are the highlights. The property sits right at the edge of the dam, and boating and ziplining at Banasura Dam are about 1-2 km away. It's also suitable for kids. Staff were very nice and tried their best to help. The room was a decent size, with working AC, TV, and hot water kettle. The property itself needs more maintenance. Breakfast needs significant improvement, and the room should be ready before check-in with everything checked. Please use a proper kettle for hot drinks brought to the room and provide proper crockery when guests can make tea or coffee.

The setting was peaceful and refreshing, which made it a nice family break. Service was the strongest part, with friendly, caring staff who were ready to help. The rooms were only average, though, and the surrounding areas could use some upkeep to make the resort more appealing.

We reached Wayanad with my family and a large group after traveling from Palakkad for a confirmed reservation made well in advance. Only once we got there did we learn by phone that the resort wouldn't honor the booking, blaming internal maintenance problems. There had been no warning, no suitable backup matching what we had booked and paid for, and no real accountability. The nearby accommodation they arranged was nowhere close in quality. With children and a large group, we were left stranded at the last minute, and a trip that should have been relaxing became stressful. Based on this experience, I would strongly warn others against relying on this resort.

We arrived in Wayanad on our booking date after traveling from our home in Palakkad with 24 adults and 4 kids. A month earlier, we'd booked a room, expecting a relaxing stay. When we called to confirm after reaching Wayanad, we were told the booking wasn't valid because of 'maintenance' issues. There had been no notice and no comparable or better alternative, just a blunt refusal. We were left without options and stayed at a nearby resort they arranged, but it didn't meet expectations. Extremely disappointing and unhappy with the lack of professionalism and customer care.
