Lakkidi Village Resort

We found the atmosphere very peaceful, with lovely views and cool weather, and it made the trip feel extra relaxing. The rooms at Lakkidi Village Resort, Wayanad were clean, comfortable, and well cared for. Staff were polite, friendly, and always willing to help, and the food was tasty too. A lovely choice for a family visit or a quiet break in Wayanad. Highly recommend!

The rooms smelled bad, and cleaning was poor. The bathrooms had a foul odor too. Shared areas were neglected: the benches were broken and rusty, and the kids' play area wasn't cleaned or maintained. The food was below standard, and staff used the same spoon for sugar and for stirring tea and coffee. When I asked for another spoon, the waiter told me to use the one already there, despite it being used for all of that. He was busy scrolling on his phone instead of paying attention to requests. There was nobody to greet us properly at reception or help with our luggage. It seemed like only three or four interns were running the whole place, and they came across as teenagers. Maybe management has changed, but the maintenance is pathetic. The property wasn't worth 5k to me, more like a basic 1500 Rs. I'd skip it and look elsewhere.

We had a memorable three-day stay here in December 2025. The location was excellent, the rooms were comfortable, and staff were always ready to help. All the meals were delicious, and the service was commendable. A special thank you to manager Rajesh and staff Aparna and Arya, who were excellent hostes. Thank you.

I left very unhappy with what we paid for. The villas felt old and poorly kept, with dim rooms, dirty walls, torn, worn bedsheets, and no hot water when we needed it. The reception area shown in the website photos looks new, but the villas looked dilapidated and weren't worth the high price. I personally wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for good value, and wish the buildings were furnished to feel more attractive, pleasant, and comfortable. There was a booking issue too. We wanted four rooms for eight people but ended up with six through online booking. We called the resort to confirm, but nobody told us the reservation was for six rooms. A staff member called on check-in morning, and that's when we found out about the two extra rooms. Management wouldn't allow a cancellation. They also refused complimentary breakfast, saying we should have selected it during booking, though they could have mentioned that when we called the day before. This was my experience, and it wasn't worth the money.
