The Paddy Field Inn - Hostel

The balcony view was superb, and the staff were polite and very helpful. The room was clean and well maintained, especially the bathroom and wash area, which get 100/100 from me. It’s ideal for a one-day stay and absolutely worth the money. I’m very satisfied.

There’s good parking space, and the prices are reasonable for what you get. The rooms were very neat and clean, and the whole place was well maintained. Aishwarya, the caretaker and Manager, was friendly and helpful, as were the other staff. I’d recommend it for families and couples.

I’ve never been this frustrated at a hotel. I wanted to leave right away, but its location made that difficult. None of the facilities shown online were available: no restaurant, bicycle, jungle safari or bonfire. Even getting a cup of tea or coffee meant traveling 8 to 9kms into town. There was no room service or food at the hotel. When we asked, staff pointed us to a dreadful, unhygienic restaurant that served only non-vegetarian food. The staff seemed clueless and would just say sorry before walking away. The pool was in an awful state, and the water seemed so bad I was worried someone could get infected even by touching it. There were no bath towels or changing room. We were told the bicycle was unavailable because its brakes had failed, and the pool had been left for chlorination three days earlier. The bonfire cost extra, even though they had little else to offer us. Food delivery wasn’t available because of the remote location. Management and maintenance were very poor. When I spoke to the managing director, he only said they’d be happy to refund us and that we could find another hotel. That made no sense after we’d struggled through half the day there, and it felt unsafe to travel elsewhere at night. PATHETIC!!!

The view was great, but hygiene was lacking. There were cigarette butts on the balcony and chewing gum stuck to a chair.
