Hotel Golden Gateway

The hotel has no restaurant, though Divine Cafe beside the temple exit is pretty good for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The temple is an easy walk away. Rooms are spacious, parking is good, and the staff are decent. Hot water was available 24*7. Getting out of the hotel onto the main road is a bit tricky because you can't see approaching vehicles. It was around 2.5k per night. The spring bed wasn't very comfortable, but the extra bed was good. Overall, I had a good stay.

There's plenty of parking, and the Wi-Fi worked fine. My room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a good restaurant nearby. The hotel is close to the Golden Temple.

Breakfast came to our room in a nearly packed reusable container. There isn't an on-site restaurant, but the staff were friendly, and we didn't run into any problems during a comfortable stay. The room was very spacious, and the Golden Temple was within walking distance.

My room on the ground floor smelled awful, and nothing in it felt clean. Dust was everywhere, the bedspreads were dirty, and the towels were worse than doormats. I asked reception to move me, but they said that was the only room available and that my assigned room had been given to somebody else. I had booked three months earlier, yet someone who arrived and paid in person got a better room, so online bookings seem to get the lowest priority. I asked them at least to use room spray. It took a lot of effort to get the room boys to come, and they started cursing while spraying. The attitude here was horrible. A terrible hotel and experience, half a star from me.
