The rooms were nice, but the bathroom taps barely had any water pressure. I’d booked and prepaid for my final semester exam visit to VIT, after spending six months working on my final-year project at another university. The first night, they had no vacant room and offered me the owner’s room instead, without a blanket. I had to move in the morning, delay my appointment at VIT and travel in the afternoon heat. Getting around was much worse than described. The manager said the bus stop was only a 750-metre walk, but it was actually 1.6 km, and bad roads meant taking a longer route. The way to VIT was also misrepresented. Some patches had mud slurry at least a foot deep, with no higher ground to walk on. An auto driver said the roads had been like that for years and never repaired. They also said an auto to Katpadi would cost ₹200, but no driver would take less than ₹350. Even their own known driver charged over ₹200 because of the road conditions. I wouldn’t stay here unless you’re prepared to spend thousands on autos or have your own vehicle.

It’s tucked far away inside town. The rooms and washrooms are neat and good, though, and it could suit bachelors looking for a place to chill.

The location was hard to find and there was no access. I waited for hours without anyone attending to me, then had to find another hotel. The property owner couldn’t be reached, and OYO’s communication and service were pathetic. I wouldn’t recommend booking an OYO hotel.

After I found accommodation for my family at 12:30 at night, the manager changed his story. He’d first said he would refund me and told me to book another room, then said I should have reached his hotel using Google Maps. I couldn’t get there because the roads were so bad. Don’t trust this person. I also complained to OYO. The area manager seemed to be local and in contact with the hotel manager, and closed my complaint straight away, saying there was no road problem. Other reviews clearly describe the same issue. I had a bad experience with both the hotel and OYO. Don’t book or trust this place.

We only stayed one night, and finding the place was a struggle. The roads were in terrible shape, and Google Maps took us to a random house before locals helped us find it. OYO had also said breakfast was complimentary, but when we arrived, nothing was provided. I wouldn’t go back even for all the money in the world. Don’t ever go here.
