The property seems a little old and could do with some modernization. We also had lizards, insects, and spiders in the rooms, and management should take those problems more seriously. Parking was available and there was enough space, but the stacked arrangement means guests need to coordinate moving their vehicles. The location is a real highlight, right on the shore with easy beach access. If you get a sea-facing room, the view of the waves is beautiful and makes the stay feel relaxing. Staff were courteous, helpful, and cooperative throughout.

The staff made the stay memorable, always cooperative and attentive, and ready to help with a smile. Thanks to the whole team for making us comfortable. We had a wonderful time at Mermaid Beach Resort. The sea view was stunning and made it easy to relax, and there was a good variety of delicious food.

The location is the one thing this place really has going for it. Apart from that, there were too many problems. The homestay was poorly maintained and had no hygiene: the towels smelled bad, the sheets were stained, cobwebs covered the windows, and ants and cockroaches were all over the room. Food choices were limited too. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it. They’d be better off setting up tents and making use of the space.

It’s a decent, comfortable place to stay, though the rooms are basic and some areas could be cleaner. Mermaid Beach Resort in Vengurla is a good pick for a quiet, simple beach break if you’re after relaxation rather than luxury. Its peaceful seaside location was the main highlight for me, and the friendly, cooperative staff added to the experience. The food was tasty and fresh, especially the local dishes and seafood.

Everything else was good, and the hotel’s location is outstanding. The rooms do need urgent maintenance, though, and the bathroom fittings should be checked before guests are assigned a room. It would also be great to have more vegetarian dishes.
