Sr Grand Hotel

I booked a room at SR grand for Sunday and was charged 3000 rs, but didn't get even the basic facilities. The manager and room were among the worst I've seen for that price. They cleaned the bathroom only after we had checked in, and it smelled like a public toilet. The bathroom health faucet, or toilet water gun, was broken. When I asked for a repair, management said they'd do it the next morning. Other rooms were empty, but they wouldn't move me. The AC remote didn't work, plug points were hanging, and the TV was out of order. Nobody answered when I called reception.

I booked two floors for my wedding in May, and the stay was very unpleasant. As soon as I entered, there was an unbearable smell, like a mix of dampness, mold and something rotten. The rooms were in terrible shape, outdated, poorly maintained and clearly not cleaned properly. Cleanliness and guest comfort don't seem to be a priority here. It wasn't worth the money, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

I don't understand how this hotel has a 3.9 rating. It's easy to find, there are rooms on the third and fourth floors, and there's a lift. But the parking is poor, with room for hardly 3-4 cars for the whole hotel and trends. Room cleanliness is awful. They said there'd be hot water, but there wasn't. There is AC, but it stays at a constant temperature because the remotes don't work, so you can't adjust it as needed. An extra bed costs 300 without pillows or blankets. There's no water facility or WiFi, and the bathrooms aren't good. The rooms aren't as big as they look in the photos, and even the large ones have only a single bed, not two as pictured. Starting rent for the small rooms is 2000. In my opinion, 500 rupees would be more than enough.

My in-laws stayed there for about a month, and I felt they were safe and secure throughout. The staff looked after them well and responded quickly whenever they had a request. I had a really positive experience.
