Treebo C Plaza

The rooms smelled when we walked in, and there were no soaps or other bathroom accessories. There isn't a kitchen to warm breakfast or serve it hot, either. This is a very basic hotel, not a star hotel, and there's no parking, despite booking.com listing the cost as including it. I wouldn't stay again, and it wasn't worth the price.

The rooms are cosy and, most of all, clean, and the staff are really friendly. They bring a complimentary breakfast, which was a nice surprise, and serve it hot. There isn't a kitchen, but outside food is allowed and they provide enough crockery for eating.

A tidy, clean place with pleasant, committed staff. Management and upkeep are good, and it works well for a solo business trip.

The bathroom had a bad smell, maybe from the sewer or moth balls, and the toilet flush, jet spray, and possibly the shower were leaking. Breakfast was cold both times I tried it, at 8 or 9 am, so cold idli, upma, and vada weren't enjoyable. The room's small size started to feel claustrophobic after a while. It was also on the small side, with a small bed and a mattress and pillows that could have been firmer for my back. At night the lighting felt dim, and the in-room breakfast notice had incorrect details, as I'd seen at another Treebo hotel too. On the plus side, the room was clean and had some light coming in. The hotel lobby was decent, and the guy at reception was helpful and fairly friendly. The location is prime, just off MG Road, with lots of shopping close by and a few restaurants. They also provided two free mineral water bottles per day. I stayed in room 311 (Acacia).
