The Windchimes Retreat

Our daughter had the time of her life here, so it’s a great place for families. The food was consistently good, and the staff were professional and helpful throughout. The resort’s architecture and design create a beautiful atmosphere that feels both luxurious and relaxing. We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to return.

The rooms were very large, clean, and had huge bathrooms. Staff and room service were helpful and quick to respond. The food was delicious, and the main chef was kind. Kailash, the manager, was helpful too and responded calmly. Windchimes retreat has a very peaceful atmosphere, with a huge coffee plantation of its own where you can walk. It’s far from the city, but very quiet. If you visit coorg, definitely stay here.

Windchimes Retreat made for a peaceful and memorable getaway. The beautiful, picturesque property is surrounded by greenery and quiet, and the staff were warm, friendly, and always ready to help. We’d definitely recommend it. Food orders can take a while, so it’s best to order ahead.

I booked Windchimes a month ahead for two days after reading the Google reviews and speaking with the reservation person, but the stay was very different from what I expected. We left for another hotel. The front office manager understood my problem, while the rest of the staff didn’t seem to care or want to talk with us. The rooms looked old and poorly maintained, not clean, with some things missing and broken furniture. The doors and wardrobes were old and didn’t work properly. Within 45 minutes, we found a big frog in the bathroom, which made the lack of cleanliness hard to ignore. There was no swimming pool or other amenities, though the price was very high. Breakfast was disappointing, with only a few items and nothing suitable for us. There were no evening snacks, the coffee wasn’t good, and the kitchen was closed because the chef wasn’t available until 6:30 PM. We were 15 km from the city and couldn’t get food when we needed it. Room service was poor too: the chilli paneer we ordered two hours ahead was oily and had bad masala. There were frequent power cuts, and backup took a good 5-10 minutes to come on. There was also no coffee plantation tour as mentioned, and no staff available when we needed help.
