Hotel Destiny

The room was clean and neat, including the washroom, and the reception Madam especially was very cooperative and helpful. I stayed two nights with my family last week and had a wonderful time. Being in the center of Vishakapatnam town made it easy to get around to different places. Thank you.

After driving 9-10 hours from Kolkata toward Chennai, we arrived for our booked stop at 22:00 on check-in day. The room they offered was in horrible shape: a broken bedside table, dirty walls, wallpaper peeling off, a foul smell, and the linens were best left unmentioned. I was so frustrated that I spoke to the lady at the desk. She showed us a room on the terrace, apparently meant for a maintenance worker. Terrible choice and terrible service. What a joke to be greeted with this after such a long drive. Don't book this place if you're looking for somewhere to stay.

The stay was deeply uncomfortable. Cigarette smoke smell filled the common areas on every floor, and the rooms smelled unpleasant too. The washrooms were in extremely bad shape and foul-smelling, while basic things like the flush and geyser didn't work properly. Cleanliness was disappointing throughout, and the hotel was very poorly maintained.

The hotel area was quiet and pleasant, near the RTC complex, with beaches just a 3-4 km drive away. A reasonable budget place, but the rooms were only okay, with stains on the walls, bedsheets, and pillows. The washroom was clean. There's no geyser, just solar heating, so you get mildly hot water in the day and none at night.
