OYO VSK145 Ssg Residency

I found SSG Residency in Visakhapatnam to be an affordable option in a convenient central spot, close to the railway station and restaurants. The staff are described as friendly and helpful, and the rooms and bathrooms are generally clean and maintained. The rooms can be small, though, and the bathrooms are basic. It could suit someone looking for budget accommodation, but anyone wanting larger rooms or more luxurious amenities may want another option.

I spent over half an hour talking to customer care, the area manager, and hotel management after the hotel refused to give me the AC room I had booked. None of them solved it. This happens at many of your properties: they ask for extra money or give you a non-AC room even when you paid for AC. Customer support takes at least 45 minutes to answer, and in half the cases they refuse to help.

There are auto services just a few metres away, and I was glad to find Bengali food as well as Punjabi and Rajasthani restaurants near the hotel. It’s also close enough to the Visakhapatnam railway station to walk there. The rooms were decent, the toilets clean, and the lift worked. A good budget hotel, and I had a good stay.

The bathroom was neater than the room, but the whole stay wasn’t good. The room smelled strongly of cigarettes, the sheets were dirty, and wires were sticking out of the switchboards loose. The TV didn’t work, and the old AC was in poor condition. The area around the hotel was dirty too. I wouldn’t personally recommend this room to anyone.
