The Andhra Art & Craft Hotel

The hotel has a good traditional theme, and the rooms and service were good. The sea view is great, though swimming isn't allowed. The beach itself wasn't clean.

The breakfast was generous, with plenty of both Indian and continental choices, and the front desk and restaurant teams were efficient and polite. We also had dinner at the outdoor poolside bar, which seemed popular with locals. The hotel has an older, period feel, though it's renovating and has added a tastefully done new wing. The rooms were spacious, fresh, and comfortable. Of the roughly four Superior rooms, those have sea-facing balconies, while the Premium rooms have no view. Our AC gave out on the second night, which is an issue for its maker, Blue Star, to deal with.

The rooms are clean and decent, and the service and food were good. The property is in a nice spot, but there's nothing fancy about it, so I'd book only if the price is right. The pool is huge, though it had a lot of chlorine. There also weren't any recreational options like table tennis, which was disappointing.

The staff were so courteous and the service was quick and spot on. The place has a fantastic atmosphere, great food, and lovely rooms. There's almost a private beach feel to it. A must-stay in Vizag, easily in the top two.
