The staff were really nice and friendly, and they’re the main reason this place is getting by. I just wish they’d smile more. Smiling matters a lot in hospitality. The restaurant downstairs has excellent seating and service, and the prices are okay. I didn’t like the food that much, but it was convenient, so I ate there. The rooms smelled bad, and the water was salty, which they couldn’t fix. Smaller hotels offer sweet bathing water, so I won’t stay here next time I’m in Mathura. I’m giving three stars out of generosity. I was ready to give two.

The breakfast spread was tasty and good, though you can’t expect bed tea. Food is made fresh, and the staff are polite. The hotel is very close to all the main temples, and the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. Room service was good at night but a little slow in the morning.

Getting an e-rickshaw to the temples was easy, and there are dhabas nearby where you can find fresh food. Our family suite at Mango Tree Hotel felt just like home, with a clean, spacious room. The staff decorated it for my son’s second birthday, and he had a great time. It all fit my budget. I had a great stay, with special thanks to Mr. Pradeep and Mr. Dinesh. The hotel is in a great spot, with nearby temples easy to reach, and the service was excellent. The bathroom needs more cleaning, though. Its fittings are old and rusty, and the food needs improvement too.

The maintenance was very poor, and the room’s furnishings and overall feel didn’t justify the price at all. There was no wardrobe, the locker didn’t work, and the door latches were uncomfortable to use. We felt badly cheated by booking online. After seeing the property, I can’t imagine anyone thinking that such a high tariff is reasonable.
