OYO 12493 Hotel Taaz Comfort Inn

We were told in advance that tea could be brought as bed tea, so we asked for it at 7. It arrived at 8:30 only after we asked again, and there was enough milk for just 5 of our 8 people. They said we'd have to pay double for tea for the others at breakfast. Then at 9, when we asked about breakfast, they said there was no breakfast service and told us to take back the money we'd already paid for it. Since we had kids with us, we asked them to arrange something at the hotel. They took our driver and car to collect breakfast, which turned out to be 2 kachoris per person with allo sabzi. We'd booked four rooms a month ahead and arrived around 12:30, but they were still dirty. They started cleaning only after we got there, and left a lot of dirt under the beds. The new receptionist said he didn't know the check-in and check-out process, so my brother helped him enter the check-in details on the computer. The rooms had no soap or towels at first. After we kept asking, they gave us one towel per room, but said they couldn't provide two even though each room had two adults. There was a menu for in-house dining in each room, but when we ordered lunch, they said there was no kitchen and pointed us to a different menu for food delivered from elsewhere. The geyser wasn't working. When I asked someone to check, he said none of the geysers worked properly and repairs would take 15 days because one had to be sent back. My son had a cold and had to bathe in cold water. The room latch was also faulty, and I had to call someone to show me how to lock the door. The hotel is about 4-5 km from the main city, so we needed a car or rickshaw to get to the main Bihari temple. The owner is in Mumbai and, as I see it, has invested in property in Vrindavan without making sure there are good, hardworking staff there. There were no cooks, maids, or housekeeping service, and the hotel doesn't run its own restaurant or kitchen. I hope nobody goes there after reading this. I don't know why OYO room gave them a franchise. Please don't waste your money here. SHAME!!!!!!
