Satyam Dham

The exterior and entrance look like they belong to a 3-star property, but the rooms felt 1-star. That mismatch, along with poor upkeep, ruined the stay. The walls looked as if they hadn't been painted in years, and the rooms were extremely neglected. I booked two rooms at Satyam Dham, Vrindavan. Neither had a geyser. Staff said there was a gas cylinder geyser, but it didn't work either, so they eventually gave us an electric rod to heat water. The same problem affected both rooms. There are a few positives: the location is excellent, only 100 meters from ISKCON Temple, and close to HH Gopal Krishna Swami Maharaj Samadhi, with MVT nearby. The lift worked fine.

It’s really convenient for the temples, just a short walk from mostly all of them, and from keli kunj where mahaaaaraj premanand ji resides. The rooms at Satyam Dham were clean, spacious, and comfortable. Service was quick, and the staff were polite and helpful throughout. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it.

The room had very poor ventilation, and we had to call at least 5 times to get extra blankets. Drinking water, towels, and soap also weren't provided unless we asked. At 6 a.m., while we were getting ready, we found the geyser wasn't working. When a family member told reception, the staff replied, “abhi so rahe hain, baad mein aayenge.” We said we'd leave the hotel, and they answered, “theek hai, chale jao.” Very poor service and a disappointing, unprofessional experience.

The bathroom was in terrible shape, with a broken tap and WC. I complained, but the staff acted irresponsibly and didn't fix anything. A very bad experience.
