The ground staff were polite and kind, but the rest of our experience was awful, and I felt terrible bringing my family here to start the new year after choosing the hotel myself. The rooms didn’t match the website and lacked basic features. Furniture was plain, uncomfortable, and had rough edges. The pillows were very compressed, the wardrobe had no doors, and the bin was uncovered. In the bathroom there was only one soap, no glass partition around the shower, so water splashed into the dry area. The basic switches made it hard to find the right one. Food came cold and was either too salty or had no salt; one morning the idly wasn’t fully cooked. The restaurant manager wouldn’t admit there was a problem. The reception and staff weren’t trained to the expected standard. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel chain.

The food was so good, especially the honey chicken and fried rice. Our rooms were cozy and clearly well cared for, and the staff were lovely. Aswanth was wonderful at his job and made us feel welcome, always greeting us with a warm smile. Loved it.

The gym had all the equipment we needed, and the pool looked so clean, though we didn’t get time to swim. Parking was good too. The F&B manager was a big help, and all the staff were unbelievably kind and helpful. A great place to stay or take a break in Ernakulam. I’d recommend it to family and friends.

The rooftop pool was well maintained, and my room was clean and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed. Housekeeping did a great job every day. The reception team and the man who helped with my luggage were pleasant and helpful, as were the restaurant staff. I stayed at Ginger Hotel from Nov-26-2025 to Nov-29-2025 after three days of flying before arriving in Kochi Kerala. Breakfast and dinner had plenty of choices, and everything I tried was delicious. I can get similar quality for less in other places, though I don’t have much to compare it with in Kochi since this was the only hotel I stayed at there. Taking everything into account, I highly recommend Ginger Kochi, Kalamassery.

Getting around was easy, with the hotel right by the national highway and CUSAT Metro Station just a short walk away. During my January 2026 stay at Ginger Hotel Kalamassery, check-in was smooth and the staff were professional. The modern rooms were spotless, and the rooftop pool offered a nice break with city views. A reliable choice for staying in Kochi.
