Golden Nest

The location was good, but the condition of the rooms made our one-night mid-August stay one of my worst trip experiences. We'd booked Luxury Room balcony with lake view cottages, and had kids and elderly parents with us. The beds were unstable, the cupboards had fungus on them, and the sheets were dirty. The bathroom locks didn't work properly, the buckets looked unclean, and the heaters weren't working, so there was no hot water. The bathroom smelled worse than a public restroom, and the odor spread through the room. There were hardly any working plug points, and frequent power cuts made things worse. The rooms were poorly maintained and unhygienic. The stay was uncomfortable and stressful, a complete waste of money that ruined our trip. I regret choosing this property and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The hilltop location is great and the concept is good, but they haven't managed to maintain the place. Paint is peeling in the rooms, and there are frequent power cuts, though they do have backup. There was no hot water. I wouldn't choose it for families.

Families, please avoid this hotel. It wasn't hygienic for a stay with kids. We nearly paid higher prices, then found there was no proper hot water or towels, and the restrooms weren't clean. The restroom taps didn't work, and there was no maintenance or admin staff available.

I was traveling with two kids when Golden Nest Resort asked me to cancel my booking because they had no staff at the property. It caused us a lot of trouble and felt totally unprofessional. Very disappointing, and I can't recommend it.
