Pagoda Resorts by OYO Rooms

The location is peaceful, to the right of Pagoda View Point, down an underdeveloped road. The rooms share walls, so you can hear the neighbours clearly. Wi-Fi was unreliable, Airtel 4G was average, and Jio signal was the worst. At check-in, they agreed to move me to another room the next day, then refused the following morning. I never met the manager or owner, just the assistants and bellboy, and some of their behaviour felt unprofessional. Inside the pillow covers, the pillows were ugly and had black spots that looked like fungus or mold. I had to remind them about towels, shampoo, soap, and water, which was missing from the room. There’s no intercom.

The food we ordered didn’t come on time, and both the room service and rooms were terrible. After booking five rooms a month ahead for April 13 and 14, we arrived and were told someone else had taken them, then got different rooms that weren’t worth what we paid. This is not a resort. We had a terrible stay.

For 3 adults, our room cost just ₹1096, so it felt worth the price. We got a nice ambience and a view that you don’t usually get for that amount. The rooms aren’t large, but ours was just sufficient for three adults. The property has converted houses into cottage-like rooms, and the staff were friendly with good service. Pagoda point is right next door for a better view. They can arrange a campfire on the premises for an extra cost.

It’s very quiet here, so you can enjoy the peaceful beauty of the hills. The hotel is near the pagoda point view, and the rooms are clean and neat. This is a remote village with no nearby restaurants, and the hotel has limited food options. There’s no transport around, so you’ll need your own vehicle or contact details for auto drivers in Yercaud town.
