Royal Resort

The room floors were extremely dirty, and it was obvious the place hadn’t been cleaned properly. I was also uncomfortable during check-in because the receptionist seemed to be under the influence of drugs, which made the process feel unprofessional. I was thoroughly disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this resort.

The manager was super cool, helpful, and cooperative. The resort is well located near the lake, and I appreciated having hot water around the clock. I was on a very tight budget and got the room for very cheap, even in peak season. The room was small, which I expected for a rate below 1k, but cleanliness was an issue and the bed sheets weren’t very clean. For what I paid, it was a very good experience.

We paid 1K for 2 people, a good deal. There’s indoor bike parking. We stayed over Diwali, checking in on the 13th and checking out on the 14th. The place was neat and clean, though there was a power cut at the time. The lessor said there was some problem with the heater and solar system, and the heater wasn’t working.

We paid 10k for four people for two days over the Christmas holiday. There was no hot water, signal, or Wi-Fi, and the service wasn’t proper. The staff didn’t seem professional; when we asked for basic service, they just pointed to their colleagues. The one good thing about the location is that it’s near yercaud lake. I wouldn’t book here even if it’s cheap. I wouldn’t give even one star, but Google requires at least one. Better to find a place with good reviews.
