Hotel Halond

Self check-in was available, and staff replied quickly with all the information we needed. We loved Halond Hotel. The room was elegant, spacious, and comfortable, with a sofa, table, desk, large bathroom, and fabulous mattresses. There's parking, a laundry area, and a hot tub for guests too. The only thing we'd change is the pillows: they were quite thin, so we used the decorative cushions from the sofa for extra volume. Definitely recommend!

The view from our balcony was fabulous, and we even saw the northern lights from there. The hotel has a fancy feel, and the room and bathroom were both clean and modern. There's a shared kitchen with a microwave, big fridge, and kettle, which was all we needed. Loved this place!

The room was quiet, with comfortable beds and everything in it seemed very new. There was plenty of space, including tables, chairs, a desk, and a sofa, plus a spacious bathroom. Parking right outside the terrace made it easier to bring our luggage in. Check-in was self-service, and the doors didn't work very well, so be careful. There was no hotel staff on site, and the shared kitchen was quite dirty. Cleanliness needs improvement.

Easy check-in by email, and the hotel was only five minutes from the town center. The room was large, clean, and modern, with a pullout couch, a table for three, and a nice balcony. It also had a fridge, coffeemaker, and safe. There are hot tubs to use, and both the room and bathroom were spacious. It's a good basic facility that doesn't pretend to be a luxury hotel, so I don't understand the negative reviews. Best value in Iceland!
