Hotel Norðurland

After a day out exploring, it was a comfortable, quiet place to come back to. The rooms felt cozy, the hotel was clean and well presented, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Friendly staff and a good location made the stay even better. We had a wonderful time at Hotel Norourland and would recommend it to anyone traveling through this part of Iceland.

A little worn around the edges, but clean and comfortable, and I’d stay here again. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, as you’d expect from people in Iceland. There are plenty of breakfast choices, including local foods and familiar international options. It’s centrally located, with shops, restaurants, sights, and water tours a short walk away.

The bed was okay, but that was the only part of the stay that worked for me. Our shower cubicle was covered in mold, so I chose not to shower. The building, especially the hallway, smelled awful. Breakfast was missing freshly baked bread, scrambled eggs, and fruit, things that seem like basics at other hotels.
