The kitchen was equipped and having a washing machine in the apartment was great. Shops and places to eat were easy to reach from this good location. We had the top-floor apartment for eight people, so hauling luggage up was tiring. There was just one bathroom, which seemed typical for Iceland. Some of the radiators didn't work.

The owner came to our rescue after the snowstorm and helped get our car out of the snow. He was awesome. Our room was cute and modern, and the shared kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. Great service and a lovely room, one of the better places we stayed on this trip to Iceland. I'll be back.

The owner and staff were really kind, and even my very late arrival was easy to sort out. I emailed, heard back within an hour, and they arranged everything so a warm, cozy bed was waiting after a long, tiring drive. The bathroom was spotless, and I liked having a sink in the room for shaving or brushing my teeth. I've never stayed in a hostel this clean. Everything was extraordinarily tidy. The price felt fair and low for Iceland, which makes it a comfortable option for a young traveler on a budget. The beds are proper beds, not old, shaky bunks. The kitchen was good, though I did miss having a stove. Free tea and coffee were a nice extra. I really appreciated the hospitality. 10/10, I'd recommend it.

The owner was so welcoming and kind. We had a really perfect two-day stay, me with my mum and sister. The guesthouse has a big bedroom and bathroom, and the kitchen has everything you need. They even provide coffee, tea, sugar, salt, and pepper for free. Really nice place, don't hesitate 😊

The place has a great history, and some of it shows in the photos in our room. One picture was of Gunnar's father aboard a small whaling boat in the 1950s. I loved our couple of nights here while waiting out some Icelandic weather. Gunnar has a hilarious, very dry sense of humor and was helpful and friendly, as was his daughter Isabella (sorry if I've spelled that wrong). The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed.
