Bólstaðarhlíð Guesthouse

The host was kind and helpful when we called, though it would have been useful to know which cabin and room number to look for. The place is right by the main road. Our room and bathroom were private, and the shared kitchen was great. Everything was comfy and clean. The dog is adorable and loves fetch, she’ll even show you where her ball is.

Everything was clean and we had all we needed. The cottage is lovely, with a fantastic view and a great spot for seeing the Northern Lights. We had a fantastic stay.

This was my second time stopping here, and this visit the place was fully booked. The other guests were still very quiet. The bed was great, better than at some top hotels I’ve stayed in around Iceland. Each room has its own bathroom and toilet. The kitchen is shared, but it had everything, including a fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher and hob. The owner meets you on arrival when he’s there. He also lets you know beforehand whether he’ll be around or which number to call.

We loved the place, and the rooms were really clean. Check-in details hadn't arrived beforehand, so we weren't sure what to do when we got there. It took about five minutes to get help. After that, everything was perfect. It's clean and has what you need for a comfortable stay, plus a friendly dog.
