My wife and I had a wonderful stay in a private cabin at The Castle Guesthouse over Christmas and into early January 2026. It was cozy, peaceful, and comfortable for a winter visit, with plenty of privacy. The warm, welcoming feel made it easy to relax and enjoy the quiet and beauty of Iceland in winter. We'd happily come back.

The sea view is stunning, and our room was clean with comfortable beds. There's a nice shared kitchen, plus books and leaflets with information about Iceland. The people running the place are friendly and welcoming. Definitely a perfect place!

We had an enjoyable stay at The Castle Guesthouse in a clean, comfortable cabin with a simple, cozy feel. The quiet location was great for relaxing and gave us good access to local attractions. Breakfast wasn't included, and the kitchen was small: we could use a microwave, kettle, and toaster, enough for light snacks. We especially liked the rabbit in the enclosure right beside the cabin. Recommended if you're after peaceful, uncomplicated accommodation.

Our self-contained wooden unit was warm and exceptionally clean, and we really appreciated having breakfast in the house along with access to the other facilities. It's a great place to spend a night or two while travelling around Iceland, and could work as a longer-term base too. It's remote, so shops and facilities are limited, but there's a restaurant, petrol station, and small supermarket nearby to stock up. The location also gives good access to the West Fjords. Highly recommended.

The cottage was beautiful and super cute, and it was perfectly clean. The two hot tubs were fantastic, and the owner was so kind and generous. This is one of our favourite places we've stayed in Iceland. I highly recommend it!
