The terrace has some nice Iceland books, a guestbook, and a globe where visitors can mark their hometowns, if you get there before it’s too late. The bathroom, sink, and terrace have had some nice updates, so a few older reviews may be out of date. Siggi made us a great Icelandic breakfast at her home with things she’d made herself, and her handmade knitted socks are awesome 🧶😎. A lovely, authentic place with local Icelanders, and it worked really well for our drive around the island.

We did get a little lost finding the place, but leaving the main road was worth it. Sigga welcomed us into her beautiful, cozy home and did her best to answer our questions and tell us about her life. Breakfast was included, and it was delicious.

The house is charming, and it’s such a peaceful, quiet spot. We were greeted warmly by a really friendly host. Breakfast was lovely, especially the homemade smoked lamb. I’d highly recommend staying here if you want somewhere quiet.

There’s no sink for washing kitchen utensils, and the place itself is very basic. Each gender has one toilet. The men’s sink had both warm and cold water, while the women’s had only cold. If the road gets wet, your car could get stuck. It cost 1500isk per person for one night, before tax.

We had noisy neighbours during our stay, which was unfortunate. The toilets and sinks worked, and paying by credit card was possible. It’s a decent little campground, fairly priced, with some protection from the wind. The host seemed pleasant.
